🌳 Shoreline protection
On Saturday, November 2, the Surf Greater Montreal Association held a cleanup to protect the shoreline and trail near Habitat 67, with the help of 15 motivated volunteers. Thanks to their energy and efficiency, the task was completed in a record time of just three hours !

🍂 Sustainable and ecological erosion control
Volunteers spread Ramial Fragmented Wood (RCW) on the pathway, a solution recommended by experts in landscaping, horticulture and arboriculture from the City of Montreal to curb erosion in a sustainable and ecological way. Many thanks to the city for supporting this project by generously providing the materials.

🍺 Thanks to our sponsors
We'd also like to thank our sponsors, Wills for the refreshing beer provided for our volunteers, and Elio Pizzeria, ready to provide us with delicious pizzas. Thanks to the team's efficiency, we didn't need a pizza break in the end, but their support remains essential and greatly appreciated !

🫶 Thanks to our volunteers
Finally, a huge thank you to each and every one of our volunteers who, through their time and energy, enabled us to carry out this chore swiftly and successfully. Your commitment makes all the difference in preserving our environment and protecting our riverbanks. We look forward to seeing you again for future projects !

Stay tuned, and once again, thanks to the entire community for this great collective effort!
